Most of the problems in any circuit is due to dry soldering. 4 out of 10 cases I attend is due to dry solder.before attending any repair work on the circuit boards please thoroughly observe the circuit in bright light. if any doubt in the joints please re-solder the points with flux and the lead.
you can use a magnifier for the observation.
Most of the times after spending money and time for components I have found that problem was due to dry joins in the board.
So please give a deep look at the back side of the board before starting the actual work.
